About

About 103FlyerDeciding which ultralight to buy is harder than it should be.

So we built the guide we wanted when we started looking. 103Flyer is the independent buyer’s guide to every USA Part 103 ultralight manufacturer we can verify. Free to the buyer. Free to the builder. No leads sold, no commission required, no brand bought its way up this page.

What a manufacturer pays to be listed here, and what we take when you buy. If that ever changes on a page, that page will say so.

Stay inside this box and you are flying an ultralight, not operating an aircraft. That is the entire deal, and it is why this category exists.

Why we built this

Fifteen tabs, three forum threads, and six emails just to learn what it costs.

Manufacturer sites run from beautifully organized to nearly impossible to shop. Prices live on scattered sheets and inside email quotes. The same airframe sometimes sells under three company names because ownership changed twice.

That is not a purchase experience worthy of an entire class of aircraft that lets Americans fly without a license. 103Flyer compresses the research into a short guided path. Tell us how you want to fly. We show you real aircraft. You build the one you want and send the spec straight to the builder. You both get the same email, so nothing gets lost in translation.

What we do

Four things, done properly.

01

The Aircraft Finder

Answer a short set of questions. We match you against every USA Part 103 brand we track, and tell you why each one came up.

02

A verified directory

Every brand here was checked against its own live website, not scraped off an aggregator. Where a builder publishes no price, we grade them unrated and say so.

03

A configurator per builder

Pick the model, the build path, the engine, the options. You get a clean spec of exactly the aircraft you want. We never quote it. The builder does.

04

A direct handoff

Your spec goes to the manufacturer with a copy back to you. No dealer markup. No lead resale. No middle.

Where we stand

Independent, and boring about it.

The buyer’s guide, the Finder, the configurators, and the quote requests are free to the buyer and free to the manufacturer. We do not sell leads. We do not require a commission. We do not move a brand up this site because it paid.

We list what a builder publishes, and we say so when they publish nothing. We do not quote on their behalf, and we do not guess at a price so a page looks tidier. If we ever have a relationship with a brand, the page that brand appears on will say so.

The full disclaimers, disclosures, privacy, and terms are one click away.

What this is not

We are not selling you an airplane.

103Flyer is not a dealer, a broker, or a reseller. We hold no inventory and we take no deposit. Every aircraft on this site is sold by the company that builds it, on their terms, at their price.

What we owe you is a straight answer about who builds what, what they publish, and how to reach them without opening fifteen tabs. That is the whole job.
