This is a plain-language summary of our actual policies, not legal advice, and we are not your lawyer.
01
General disclaimers
103Flyer.com is an independent buyer’s guide and comparison tool for FAR Part 103 ultralight aircraft. Everything here is provided “as is” for research. Every specification, price, option, engine detail, address, and status shown on this site is sourced from information the manufacturers published themselves.
Manufacturers change pricing, specs, availability, ownership, and contact details without telling us. We re-verify on a rolling basis. Before you decide anything, confirm every fact directly with the manufacturer.
103Flyer does not manufacture, sell, resell, warrant, or broker aircraft, kits, parts, engines, plans, or accessories. Every transaction happens directly between you and the manufacturer. We are not a party to any purchase agreement.
The Aircraft Finder filters published data against the choices you make. Its output is informational. It is not professional advice, not an endorsement, not a warranty of suitability, and not a guarantee of Part 103 compliance for any build.
We do not quote. Our configurators produce a specification, not a price. Where we show a grade band, it is derived from figures the manufacturer publishes today and it is not an offer. Where a manufacturer publishes nothing we can compare, we mark them unrated rather than estimate.
02
FAR Part 103
14 CFR Part 103 sets the envelope: single occupant, powered empty weight under 254 pounds excluding floats and safety devices, 5 US gallons of fuel or less, maximum full-power level-flight speed of 55 knots CAS, and power-off stall of 24 knots CAS or less.
An aircraft marketed as “Part 103 legal” can leave that envelope once you add certain engines, instruments, accessories, or finishes. That is not a trick; it is how options work.
103Flyer does not calculate your build weight and does not tell you whether your build is legal. We deliberately do not compute it, because the allowances for floats and safety devices make that a judgment, not arithmetic. The owner and operator are solely responsible for weighing the completed vehicle and determining compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local law before any flight.
We do not describe any aircraft as “FAA-approved.” The FAA does not certificate a Part 103 vehicle. Compliance is a self-declaration by the operator, and the operator carries every consequence of it.
Ultralight flight can injure or kill you. Nothing on this site is flight instruction, an endorsement, or a signoff for any purpose. Get in-person instruction from a qualified certificated flight instructor before you operate any aircraft.
03
Affiliate and commercial disclosure
This section exists to satisfy the FTC’s Endorsement Guides, 16 CFR Part 255, and we treat it as a floor rather than a ceiling.
103Flyer may participate in referral and affiliate programs. If you click a link here that carries a tracking parameter or referral code and then buy something, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
Where a link pays us, the page carrying that link says so next to the link itself, before you click it, in plain words, without needing to open this page or expand anything. A disclosure buried in a legal page is not a disclosure.
Commissions never affect the directory. Not which builders appear, not their grade band, not their order in the Aircraft Finder, not whether they are marked unrated. The Finder does not know which brands pay and cannot rank on it.
If a piece of content is a sponsored placement, a paid partnership, or a product given to us free for review, that is labeled at the top of that content, not at the bottom and not in a footnote.
If we ever accept a commission, referral payment, trade work, consignment, or anything in kind from a specific manufacturer, it gets disclosed on that manufacturer’s page and listed here.
Current commercial arrangements
None. No manufacturer pays us anything, in cash or in kind, as of the date at the top of this page. This list gets updated the day that changes.
04
Manufacturer relationships
Every USA Part 103 manufacturer we know of gets a free listing. A listing is never conditional on buying anything from us, on advertising, or on any other paid relationship. The Aircraft Finder does not score paying brands higher, because it holds no field that says who pays.
Some manufacturers separately hire wpAVIO, the consulting practice run by the same person behind this site, for paid website and configurator work. That is a separate contract between the manufacturer and wpAVIO. It changes nothing about their listing, grade, or position here. If you see the same name on 103Flyer and on a builder’s own site, that is what happened, and that builder’s page will say so.

Terms of service
Agreement
By using this site, the Aircraft Finder, any configurator, or the contact form, you agree to these terms.
Permitted use
Research aircraft for lawful purposes. Do not submit false information in a build request, impersonate anyone, bulk-scrape the site against our rate limits or robots directives, reverse-engineer the configurator to send unrelated messages to manufacturers, or use the site for anything unlawful.
Accuracy
We make a good-faith effort to publish accurate information from manufacturers’ own sites. See the disclaimers above for the limits. Verify everything with the manufacturer before you buy or fly.
Intellectual property
103Flyer content, layout, code, and organized data belong to 103Flyer. Manufacturer names, logos, and product names belong to those manufacturers and appear here for identification and comparison only. Nothing here licenses you to reproduce our data, our configurator logic, or our design.
No warranty
The site, the Finder, and the configurators are provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, 103Flyer, wpAVIO, their principals, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, your reliance on anything here, or your dealings with any manufacturer you found through it. That includes purchase decisions, configuration decisions, and any incident or accident involving an aircraft.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 103Flyer, wpAVIO, and their principals from any claim arising out of your misuse of the site, false information you send a manufacturer through our tools, or your operation of any aircraft.
Third-party links
We link to manufacturer sites, forums, PDFs, and videos. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or safety.
Changes
We may update these terms and the privacy policy. Material changes are dated at the top of this page.
