Builder Profits

For Part 103 buildersWe crawled every one of your sites. Here is what we found.

Forty aviation domains. Six thousand and fifty pages. We did it to build the 103Flyer directory, not to sell you anything. Then we looked at the numbers and realised you probably do not know.

16OF 40 HAVE NO META DESCRIPTIONS AT ALL

Not some pages. Not one page, across the entire site. Twelve of you have no H1 anywhere either. That is the tag a machine reads first to work out what a page is about.

None of this is a judgement of your aircraft. You build beautiful machines. Your website is not your job, and it shows.

What it costs you

A buyer asks ChatGPT which ultralight to buy. It does not name you.

Not because your aircraft is worse. Because the machine could not read your site, so it named the one it could. You never find out the question was asked. There is no bounce, no lost enquiry, no missed call. Just a sale that quietly happened somewhere else.

This is not the Google you learned to ignore ten years ago. When someone types “cheapest Part 103 ultralight kit” into an AI now, they get three names and a recommendation, not ten blue links. Being one of those three is the whole game, and it is decided by whether a machine can parse your pages.

Sixteen of the twenty-six USA Part 103 builders publish no price a machine can read. If you are one of them, an AI cannot answer the single most common question a buyer asks about your aircraft.

What I do about it

Six things. You think about none of them.

01

Read by search engines and by AI

Structured pages, Product and Offer schema, real product data, llms.txt. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews quote you accurately instead of skipping past you.

02

A configurator that closes

Model, build path, engine, options. Live price, live weight, one-click quote request. The buyer decides on your site, not in a two-week email chain. You have seen one. It is on your 103Flyer page.

03

Deposits online, today

Secure card payments for deposits, kits, complete aircraft, parts, and training. No more chasing checks. No more “did you get my invoice?”

04

Subscription payments during the build

Split a big kit into predictable monthly payments so buyers commit instead of stalling. The cash arrives while you are building it, not after.

05

The list is yours

Email marketing to prospects and customers, run for you. An owned audience you can reach on the day you have three kits to move.

06

Everything underneath

Domain management, hosting, speed, security, AI readiness. One number to call when anything breaks. It is my number.

Who I am

  • Nineteen years of WordPress. Not a designer who learned to code, an architect who has been doing this since before most agencies existed.
  • U.S. Army veteran. Civil Affairs, E-5, honourable discharge. Deadlines are real and the site ships.
  • AOPA and EAA member. I am in this because I want to fly, not because aviation looked like a niche.
  • One person, accountable start to finish. No account manager, no team you never meet, nobody to blame.

Who I am not

  • Not an agency. There is no bench, no upsell, and no vanishing act after launch.
  • Not a dealer. I take no commission on your aircraft and never will.
  • Not the reason your 103Flyer listing exists. That is free and unconditional, permanently, whether we ever speak or not.

Your listing is not for sale, and neither is your position

103Flyer grades you on what you publish. Hiring me does not move you up, does not change your grade, and does not get you off the unrated list. The only way off the unrated list is to publish a price. That is true whether you pay me a dollar or laugh at this email.

The season is the clock

Live before AirVenture or SUN ’n FUN.

I take a small number of aviation clients at a time. Miss the window and you spend another season losing buyers to whoever showed up first. That is not a sales line, it is just how a flying season works.

Or reply to the email that sent you here. It reaches me, not an inbox.
