U-FLY-IT (Aerolite 103)
USA Part 103 Buyer’s GuideU-Fly-It · Aerolite 103
The clearest price sheet in Part 103. Eight engines, every one of them published with a number next to it, on top of a $19,450 airframe. Nobody else in this guide lets you build up a total cost without a phone call. Including two-stroke, four-stroke, and three electric options.
8ENGINES, ALL PRICED
From a 28 HP Hirth to a 63 HP MZ, plus three electric packs. Sixteen of the twenty-six builders here publish no price at all. This one publishes every engine.
Published today: $19,450 airframe kit. Engine, prop, and paint on top. RTF by quote.
What it can and cannot do
The capability table.
Yes published as standard · Optional factory option or variant · No not available
The lineup
One aircraft, three ways to get it.
Quick-build airframe kit, contracted assembly service, or ready to fly. Tricycle gear, open cockpit. An all-electric variant has been developed and covered by KitPlanes.
$19,450 is the airframe, not the aeroplane
The kit price excludes the engine, the propeller, and the paint. The cheapest engine is $7,404 and the dearest is $17,102. Do that arithmetic before you compare this number against anyone else’s.
Four-month kit backlog
As of our last pass. Ask where the queue stands before you plan a flying season around it.
Who it suits
- Anyone who wants to know what it costs without making a phone call. This is the only builder here who lets you.
- First-time Part 103 buyers who want an established design with a real fleet behind it.
- Buyers who want to choose between building it and having it delivered finished.
- Pilots curious about electric, without leaving a proven airframe to try it.
What you give up
- The kit price excludes engine, propeller, and paint. Budget accordingly.
- Most of the engine ladder is two-stroke, which is a different maintenance discipline than a four-stroke.
- Ready-to-fly pricing is a quote, not a number on the page.
- No folding wings and no floats. It is a tricycle-gear, open-cockpit aeroplane and nothing else.

Part 103 compliance is yours
An aircraft marketed as Part 103 capable can exceed the 254 lb powered empty-weight limit once engines, instruments, and options are added. A 63 HP engine and a 28 HP engine do not weigh the same, and the electric packs weigh differently again. You weigh the finished vehicle and you confirm compliance with 14 CFR 103 before you fly it. See the Part 103 disclaimer.
